Lampe magique
This woman holds her power in the story as a villain, but I also see her as a woman affected by betrayal, & the pain of a broken heart.
So, this portrait I have created is a concoction of such darker elements with the more hopeful fantastic power from the magical genie's lamp. I portrayed this power in the form of life-giving sacred blood that can nourish even the most broken. My character's face is weary, & her eyes empty of any views for any future. Yet, a slight smile on her lips signals hope that her life could still start anew.

BURN'n for you!
I recently created this vision board for myself, apparently centered on my passion for the Lagree Fitness method!
I started my love for Lagree in Santa Barbara, CA with Fit Buddha & SPARK45 Fitness studios, & have found my Scottsdale, AZ Lagree home at BURN - Total Body Conditioning. I have also found my fitness home at Cyclebar indoor cycling studios.
I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology at Washington State University in 2010, & am currently looking into graduate programs for Art Therapy. I found programs in Arizona & am also looking into other programs along the west coast, so who knows where my future will send me. (& my faithful, albeit skitterish, cat Sara!)

The story of Tres Burros Locos
I met Edward at Terroir at Scottsdale Seville. We started talking, & I mentioned that I am an artist. He told me about that he & his sisters have an inside family joke about donkeys. He wanted to find somebody to paint pictures of some crazy donkeys to give to his sisters. That's how I came to paint 3 pictures of crazy silly donkeys for Edward's & his sisters. The story of our Tres Burros Locos!

Mind . Blown .
That's what happened to me February 20th, 2005. Or, more accurately, my body was partially thrown from my friend's pickup truck on our way to a youth group retreat in high school.
That accident was bad, for all involved, & my prognosis, in particular, was even worse. Among numerous other injuries, I sustained the traumatic brain injury that changed my life forever. I had to relearn literally everything. My family & friends were told that chances were, I would never wake up from my coma. Chances were, that even if I did wake up, I would never be able to live an independent life. Chances were, that my lifetime love for art would be lost forever too.
Chances are, I proved them all wrong; with hard work, sheer determination, lots of love, & a little creativity.
